1. Union Café

Union Café in the heart of the Short North Arts District has been a staple in the community for 23 years. Their Sunday brunch includes a buffet a well as an omelet and waffle bar.

“We’ve just improved on it over the years. We have a lot of food to offer. We have a lot of fun.  On top of our Sunday brunch, we do once a month on Saturdays—hopefully in the very near future, we’ll be doing it every Saturday,” said COO David Gonda. “We do a drag brunch as well, so it’s a little bit more interactive. It’s a lot of really great food for a really great price. It’s a great atmosphere on a Sunday morning.”

“It’s definitely a word of mouth kind of thing. We’ve had people come from Toledo and from out of state before to come here. I think it really is, we know what we’re doing and people like it and spread the word,” added manager Chelsea Newill.

Union Café is located at 782 N High St. in Columbus.

2. Katalina’s

Katalina’s on 3rd Avenue near Harrison West and Victorian Village offers an eclectic, locally-sourced menu. Those who work there say their love and passion for the local community is what sets this community favorite apart.

Katalina’s serves their famous Original Pancake Balls and much more seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  They describe their menu as “homemade food with an attitude… Latin-leaning and Southern slanted.”

Katalina’s is located at 1105 Pennsylvania Ave. in Columbus.

3. Canal Wigwam

Canal Wigwam is a classic diner located in Canal Winchester. They’re also one of Central Ohio’s oldest continuously opened restaurants opening its doors in 1899!

Wigwam is for the early bird and lunch crowd. They are open six days a week started at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Sundays.

4. Drunch Eatery + Bar

Drunch Eatery + Bar is newer to Columbus. Located in Italian Village, the describe themselves as a gastropub with emphasis on local farm sourced foods.

They serve everything from banana bread french toast to breakfast burgers seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Drunch Eatery + Bar is located at 995 N 4th St. in Columbus.

5. Matt the Millers

Matt the Millers is the only chain on voted into Top Spots: Brunch. Matt the Miller has five Ohio locations, three of which are in Central Ohio.

Their Sunday brunch goes from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and includes a buffet.

Matt the Millers is located at 6725 Avery-Muirfield Dr. in  Dublin, 1436 Gemini Place in Polaris, and 1400 Grandview Ave. in Grandview Heights.
