COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Three students were assaulted with a hammer during a campus area home invasion early Tuesday morning.
According to Columbus police, it happened around 4am at a home on the 200 block of East 15th Avenue in Columbus.
Police said two men forced their way inside using a hammer, and then used the hammer to assault three people who were home at the time.
All three victims are students at Columbus State Community College, according to police.
The two suspects got away before police arrived.
The three residents were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Police released vague descriptions of the suspects, saying that one of them was wearing a mask.
It was unclear what, if anything was stolen.
