Youngstown State University’s lockdown lifted after report of a person with a gun

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (WCMH) — Youngstown State University is on lockdown after a person with a gun was reported on a campus. 

According to YSU’s Twitter account, a suspect with a gun was last seen by the recreation center on campus. A shelter in place was ordered campus wide while police investigated. 

YSU’s Twitter account says the suspect is a black male with dreadlocks, in a red hooded sweatshirt with red and white lettering, and a black backpack. 

There are no reported injuries at this time.
