BRATENAHL, OH (WCMH) – Newly-released video shows an Ohio State Highway Patrol cruiser hit head-on during a chase last week.

According to the highway patrol, troopers were chasing a stolen Nissan Armada on I-90. The driver got off the freeway in Bratenahl, WKYC reported.

Troopers used their cruisers to create a barricade in the area of Eddy Road and Lakeshore Boulevard.

According to highway patrol spokesperson Lt. Robert Sellers, troopers had planned to set up stop sticks, but the chase reached them too quickly.

Instead of stopping, the suspect crashed right through the cruisers.

Three troopers were injured in the crash. They are in stable condition.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Rajon Hyche, 18 is charged with felonious assault, fleeing and eluding, receiving stolen property and cocaine possession. He is being held at the Cuyahoga County Jail.
