State fire investigators seek tips in Seneca County arson; reward offered

The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau seeks tips from the public regarding an intentionally set fire at 11254 W. Township Road 116 in Fostoria.

The fire occurred just before 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, destroying a storage barn, and causing damage to two vehicles and the home on the property. No one was injured in the incident.

The investigation is being conducted jointly by the State Fire Marshal’s office, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and the Bascom Joint Fire District.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire.
