Police: Ohio driver crashes into cemetery going 90 mph

AKRON, OH (WCMH) — Police say a man was driving 90mph in a 35mph zone when he went off the road and crashed into an Akron cemetery.

Ten gravestones were damaged after the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac struck a curb and smashed through a fence Tuesday, WKYC reported.

The driver, identified as 20-year-old Robert Miller, was taken to an Akron hospital for injuries suffered in the crash.

According to a police report, Miller said he didn’t remember what happened. Officers noted he had a head injury.

He has been cited with failure to control and reckless operation.
