LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — The Lisbon Police Department is looking for a woman who police say has escaped from the Eastern Ohio Correction Center, stole a car and ran over a man’s leg.
Police are looking for 37-year-old Ashley Croley. She is described as a woman standing 5-foot-5, weighing about 130 pounds, and having blond hair and blue eyes. Lisbon Chief Mike Abraham says she was last known to be wearing black shorts and a yellow and orange crop tank top.
Abraham said Croley has been charged with theft and escape.
Police say they think Croley may be driving a stolen blue Chevy Cobalt with a license plate number JLU 4699.
Chief Abraham says when Croley stole the car around 5 p.m. Friday, she ran over the owner. Police said the incident happened in the parking lot of East of Chicago Pizza on Market Street in Lisbon.
The car’s owner was taken to the hospital with a broken leg, according to Chief Abraham.
She was last seen traveling north on state Route 45, and investigators believed she may have been heading to Salem or Youngstown.
Chief Abraham says Lisbon is partnering with U.S. Marshals who are checking areas in Youngstown she might be in.
