Ohio man killed in crash after car split in half

State News

CINCINNATI, OH (WLWT) A man is dead after a car traveling on Ohio’s I-75 drove across the median, went down an embankment and crashed onto the street below.

Investigators said the car split in half after it hit a concrete pillar.

The driver killed has been identified as Cecil Booker, 31, of Middletown.

Before the crash, witnesses said Booker was heading north on I-75, just past the Union Centre Boulevard exit.

“I don’t even know where he went,” a woman who called 911 said. “He went to the left, went into the grass and flew over.”

“It appeared the vehicle did travel off the left side of the roadway into the grassy median, went down the embankment, came down the embankment here and hit another embankment, which forced the vehicle to go airborne,” Sgt. Brian Bost, of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
