Missing Logan County man found safe

ZANESFIELD, OH (WDTN) – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says the man that was the subject of a statewide alert has been found and is safe.

Logan County dispatchers couldn’t say anything more but did confirm Richard Zwayer is safe and in good health.

A statewide alert for Richard Zwayer, 79, was issued Friday morning after he left his home on County Road 2 in Zanesfield Thursday and did not return.

Zwayer suffers from dementia, Parkinson’s disease and is a diabetic, according to the sheriff’s office.

Mr. Zwayer drives a silver 2016 Toyota Camry with Ohio plate GTN3249.
