State News

Some Facebook users watched an upsetting scene unfold on Thursday.

According to court documents, a man abducted his own grandmother.

Police said they were called to Salem Road in Anderson Township for reports of a rolling domestic situation.

When they arrived, they spoke to a woman who said her grandson, Joshua Brackenridge, 31, climbed into her car in Harrison, Ohio and threatened to kill her if she did not drive him where he wanted to go.

She said when she stopped at a Sunoco and tried to get out of her car, Brackenridge threatened her again and refused to let her leave.

On top of that, he broadcast the incident using Facebook Live. He can be seen in the video hitting his grandmother at least once.

He is now charged with abduction and unlawful restraint. He will be arraigned Friday morning.
