Juvenile arrested after admitting to throwing rocks at cars on U.S. 35 in Dayton

DAYTON, OH (WDTN) —  One juvenile is in custody after admitting to throwing rocks at vehicles on U.S. 35 in Dayton to police Saturday. 

Regional Dispatch told WDTN Saturday night crews were investigating a scene at U.S. 35 westbound on Smithville Road at 10:00 p.m.

According to the police reports from the Dayton Police Department, there were reports of more than 20 vehicles damaged.

 The suspect told officers another male was also throwing rocks but got away.

The juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center where he was booked on several counts of vandalism.

Several drivers were treated for injuries after being hit by shattered glass.  No word on if any of the injuries were serious.
