GALLIA CO., OH (WCMH) — The Gallia County Health Department said on Thursday that is has confirmed two positive cases of Hepatitis A in the county.

One of these cases was linked to a food handler at Arby’s on 1521 State Route 7 South. That store has been shut down in order to sanitize the equipment. The food will be discarded and the Health Department will do a full inspection.

The health department recommends individuals who ate at Arby’s from July 11-18, 2018 to get a precautionary Hepatitis A shot.

The person with the virus did not contract it through other Arby’s staff members, according to the health department, and the chances of getting Hepatitis A from food contact is “incredibly slim.”
