CINCINNATI (WCMH) — Family and friends gathered in Cincinnati Friday to remember Kyle Plush, the 16-year-old who died in what was believed to be a tragic accident inside a van on Tuesday.
Mercy Montessori principal Patty Normile says Plush was full of positive energy. Despite sporting a back brace, she said, he was an unstoppable athlete.
“Through our grief we are focusing on our fond memories of Kyle and his family,” Normile said.
“Kyle’s gentle spirit made it a joy for others to be around him, we lovingly remember Kyle as a creative, vibrant and kind young man.”
Plush attended this school between kindergarten and the sixth grade. His teachers say he was independent, determined, and thoughtful.
“He was an inspiration to many children and teachers here at Mercy Montessori,” Normile said.
Plush was reportedly trying to grab his tennis gear when the third-row seat of a Honda minivan pinned him.
He called 911 but was not found until it was too late.
