SANDUSKY, OH (WCMH) — Cedar Point officially opened for the 2018 season Saturday, and its newest roller coaster “Steel Vengeance” had to be shut down after two trains bumped into one another.
Park officials tell WKYC that one of the Steel Vengeance trains was returning to the station when it “lightly bumped” another train that was parked in front of it around 1:30pm. Both trains were fully packed with riders.
Officials told WKYC four people requested first aid, but all returned to the park.
Investigators are reviewing the incident, and there is no estimation of when the ride will be back in service.
