CARROLL COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — Authorities say the body of missing 14-year-old Jonathan Minard was found Friday morning, buried on a farm in Washington Township in Carroll County.

Minard was reported missing the evening of April 14. After searching all week, Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams says Minard’s body was found around 10:15 a.m. Friday morning in a shallow grave.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy.

Minard was last seen on Saturday, April 13 while at a farm in New Harrisburg to help with milking and was supposed to call his mom to pick him up, WKYC reports. His mom said he never called.

Police say a “person of interest” has been questioned in the case, but no arrests have been made. Officials did not say if his death is being considered a homicide or if there are currently any suspects.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information regarding the incident should call (330) 627-2141.
