1 dead, 2 injured after head-on crash in Hocking County

A 44-year-old man is dead and two others were injured in a head-on crash in Hocking County.

Christopher J. Good, 44, of Carbon Hill was driving southbound on State Route 595 in a 2008 Toyota Yaris at about 8:55 a.m. when he was struck head-on by Mindi C. Clark, 38, of Logan, who was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche that had traveled left of center while northbound on State Route 595, according to troopers from the Athens Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. 

Good was pronounced dead on the scene, officials said.

A juvenile in Mr. Good’s vehicle was treated for minor injuries and released from the Hocking Valley Community Hospital, according to officials.

Clark was also transported to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital with minor injuries and was treated and released, according to officials.

Troopers were assisted by the Logan Fire Department, Hocking County Coroner’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

While the crash remains under investigation troopers remind motorists to remain alert while driving and avoid driving drowsy, officials said in a statement.
