WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCMH)– When she finally got to meet President Obama after waiting her entire life to see an African-American in the White House, 106-year-old Virginia McLaurin couldn’t contain her excitement.

According to CNN, the White House released the video of McLaurin waving her cane, and dancing after greeting the President with an excited, “Hi!”

McLaurin was at the White House to celebrate Black History Month and when asked by the President if she wanted to meet the first lady, the answer was obvious.

“I wanna be like you when I grow up,” Michelle Obama tells her, after the spry 106-year-old McLaurin rushed up to her. “You can,” McLaurin replies.
