Police: Man driving wrong way on I-70 told officers ‘it was faster’

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WCMH) — A 19-year-old Indiana man is facing a reckless driving charge after going the wrong way on Interstate 70 Wednesday.

Police told WRTV D’Ante Parrish was not under the influence of alcohol when he drove his black Chevrolet Camaro the wrong way in the freeway. He allegedly told officers that he thought it would be faster if he drove on the other side.

Video posted on Facebook shows the Camaro traveling in the wrong lanes before pulling into a grass median. No crashes or injuries were reported.
