WASHINGTON D.C. (WCMH)– A press briefing at the Pentagon turned a bit tense Tuesday, when Major General James Martin Jr. slumped forward on the podium.

Martin, who is in charge of budgets for the Air Force, was ill with the flu or a cold was holding the briefing when he appeared to pass out.

Several people came to the general’s aid, and helped him sit down. He later walked out on his own and is said to be fine.

Assistant Air Force Secretary Carolyn Gleason finished the briefing without him.
