Participants raise $10,000 for Nationwide Children’s at Shred-It Day

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – NBC4 and Shred-it provided free document destruction to 3,000 attendees at NBC4 Shred-it Day today at the Ohio Expo Center parking lots.

We collected 250,000 pounds of personal documents to shred and recycle. Attendees donated more than $10,000 to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Kiwanis Club of Columbus

Alpha Kappa Alpha

Ohio Attorney General’s Office

Columbus City Schools

Columbus State Community College

Eastland Career Center

Ohio Dominican University

American Red Cross

Columbus Fire Department

Since the first NBC4 Shred-it Day more than 2,545 tons of personal documents have been shredded and recycled.  More than $133,000 has been raised for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
