OSU student robbed at knife point

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – An Ohio State University student says he was robbed at knife point at an off-campus location Saturday night.

According to the OSU Emergency Management office a male student said he was attempting to purchase an iPhone from an online buy-sell-trade advertisement in the area of 174 W. Lane Ave. Instead, he says he was met by two men, one of whom displayed a knife and demanded the student hand over his belongings.

The victim told officials that the suspects stole cash and fled on foot. The student was not injured.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, about 5’6″ tall and weighing about 135 pounds. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, about 6’1″ tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was dressed in a black t-shirt, black baseball cap and blue jeans.

The incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbus Police at 614-645-4545. OSU Emergency Management says Columbus Police and University Police will increase patrols in the campus area.What others are clicking on:
