Radio One Columbus and Moms Demand Action hosted the #WearOrange614 event and rally on Saturday.
The community was invited to join the thousands of other Americans across the nation to recognize National Gun Awareness Day.
Orange has long been the color of gun violence prevention.

There was a sea of orange across Westgate park in support of the organization and message.
The Linden High School Marking Band led the group in a march around the park.
They also had speakers and activities for the children.
The rally ended with a balloon release to honor the memory of the victims and survivors.
