MEMPHIS, TN (WCMH)– A mom says it was all a joke after a picture showing two young children with duct tape over their hands and mouth went viral.

According to WMC, police are investigating the picture that has the caption “Kids for sale. 45 percent off because they bad.”

The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services says they have little information but are doing more research before investigating the family.

The woman’s cousin, Derion King, says the whole picture was just a joke and people are over reacting.

“People make mistakes and that’s what this situation is, a lesson learned. They are safe unharmed, and love that’s all it is to it.” King posted to social media.What others are clicking on:
