GARRARD COUNTY, KY (WLEX) — A miniature horse missing for 10 days is back in his stable after an unbelievable ordeal.
Elvis was found 20 feet down a sinkhole on his owner’s property in Garrard County, Kentucky
“And we brought him back from the dead. He’s alive, healthy and doing great,” said Robin Snowden, Elvis’ owner.
The Snowdens thought Elvis had run away, or was lost in the woods.
They had no idea he was still on the property until a worker noticed a large sinkhole, with Elvis at the bottom.
Two men from the Camp Dick Fire and Rescue Squad went down into the hole to retrieve the lost miniature horse. It took a four people, a tractor, harnesses and pulleys to get Elvis above ground again.
The horse is dehydrated, hungry and muddy, but is expected to make a full recovery.What others are clicking on:
