COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Prosecutors say the two men threatened to shoot up their neighborhood with an AR-15 rifle if they got 100 views.
According to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien the men also handed the loaded gun to a toddler while they were live streaming.
A Franklin County Grand Jury indicted 20-year-old Yusuf Suliman Conteh and 20-year-old Damon Andrew Rosmond on one count of improperly furnishing firearms to a minor, one count of endangering children, one count of inducing panic, one count of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and one count of tampering with evidence.
O’Brien says on February 16, the two men were at a home on Wainwright Avenue when they began to broadcast live over Periscope, and said that if they got 100 views, they would take the rifle outside and empty the clip in the neighborhood.
“At one point in the live-stream, a toddler came into view of the camera and was handed the gun,” says O’Brien.
After exceeding 100 views, the two men left the home and began driving in a vehicle, according to O’Brien.
A person in another state watching the live stream contacted police, and the two men were later arrested.
Both men face five years in prison if prosecuted.What others are clicking on:
