MORGAN County, Ohio (WCMH) — A family in McConnelsville has created colorful yard signs to help brighten the day of neighbors who drive by.

The project began when 12-year old Evelyn Newton’s grandmother, Betty Johnson, challenged her granddaughter to spread positivity through chalk art.

Evelyn and her mom Tara made the uplifting signs together. One side reads, ‘Sunshine and good vibes,’ and the other says, ‘Stay Positive.’

Other chalk art messages included: ‘Be kind’, ‘You are loved’, ‘You’re not alone’ and ‘We are in this together’.
