CHILLICOTHE, OH (WCMH)– Six women went missing in Ross County between May 2014 and June 2015. Of those six women, three went missing during the month of May; two in 2014 and one in 2015.
It was two years ago this month that kayakers found 30-year-old Tameka Lynch’s body on a sandbar in Paint Creek.
That discovery was near the small town of Bainbridge, 20 miles away from Lynch’s home in Chillicothe.
“Someone put her in the water. Tameka was scared to death of the water and the woods,” said Angela Robinson, Lynch’s mother.
Robinson says Charlotte Trego and Lynch had several things in common… their heroin addiction. They were seen together and both disappeared in May 2014. Trego has never been found.
Tiffany Sayre’s body was found taped and in a culvert last May in Highland County, a couple of miles away from where Lynch was found. Her death was ruled a homicide. Their families continue to suffer.
“It is eating away at us! Not knowing anything, and knowing there are people that know what happened. Why won’t they come forward?” said Robinson.
Family members say all the missing women knew each other and had drug addictions. Investigators remain tight-lipped on the deaths and disappearances.
The Southern Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest of a suspect or to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the two missing women, Trego and Wanda Lemons.
Lemons went missing in November of 2014.
Lt. Mike Preston, Spokesman for the Missing Persons Task force said they are still actively investigating the cases. It is the belief that somebody has information that can help in the investigations.
