COLUMBUS (WCMH) – An Ohio Court of Claims judge has dismissed a wrongful death claim filed by the family of Reagan Tokes.
Tokes is the Ohio State student murdered by Brian Golsby while he was out on parole.
The Tokes family had filed a wrongful death claim against the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. They claimed the state, along with its contractors and the residential program that housed Golsby were negligent in her death.
An Ohio Court of Claims judge determined the state was immune from any of the claims, even if Tokes’ family could prove all of them.
Golsby was sentenced to life in prison in March.
