A 24-year-old woman who was lying in the roadway along Ebright Road was killed Saturday evening after she was struck by a vehicle.
Lanie A. Motley, of Columbus, was in the southbound lane of Ebright Road at about 9:50 p.m. when a 2008 Mazda MZ3 driven by Quinton Small hit her.
Madison Twp. officials pronounced Motley dead just before 10 p.m.
Police say they don’t know why Motley was lying in the roadway.
This is the 65th traffic-related fatality of 2018.
