COSHOCTON COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — Deputies in Coshocton County say a woman used a bible to smuggle drugs into an inmate.

According to the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, on April 11, a bible was dropped off for an inmate at the Justice Center.

While searching the bible, a substance believed to be methamphetamines and suboxone was found.

An investigation was launched and Cherokee Williamson was arrested and charged with illegal conveyance of drugs, a third degree felony.

Deputies say Williamson could face more charges, pending a review by the prosecutor’s office.

The case remains under investigation.
