COLUMBUS (WCMH)–A wind advisory is in effect from 2pm until 1am for most of the Buckeye State.
Wind gusts will range from 30-40 mph this afternoon with the passage of a strong cold front that will cause the temperature to fall sharply this evening, from near 60 into the 30s tonight.
A narrow line of showers and a few storms could develop along the line this afternoon that will bring even stronger gusts down to the surface, approaching 50 mph in places. Tree branches are susceptible to snapping at these projected wind speeds.
