Whitehall police seize drugs, weapons and cash during drug arrest

WHITEHALL, OH (WCMH) — Whitehall police have arrested a man after drugs, guns and cash were found during a search warrant.  

According to the Whitehall Division of Police, officers executed a search warrant, Thursday, at residence while investigating cocaine trafficking in the city. 

During the search, detectives say they seized 2,500 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of heroin/fentanyl, two loaded handguns and $8,281 in cash.  

The target of the investigation, Chezsirray Owensby, 34, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, and having weapons under disability.  

Police say the recovered cocaine has a street value of more than $200,000. 

“This was a large scale drug dealer whose drugs were making its way into the City of Whitehall. The City of Whitehall is a safer place with him in jail,” stated, Deputy Chief Tracy Sharpless.
