COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A Westerville man accused of killing his wife was arraigned on a murder charge Wednesday morning.

James A. Gentile, 55, made his first appearance before a judge in Franklin County Municipal Court. He is charged with murdering his wife, Dana Gentile. Gentile didn’t speak in court as the judge set bond at $2 million.

According to court documents, Gentile came out of his house on Carousel Court in Westerville Monday evening with blood on his hands and told a neighbor he had killed his wife over marital issues.

The neighbor called 911, as did one of Gentile’s brothers, who said Gentile confessed to killing his wife using a knife. Dana Gentile was found dead inside the house on Carousel Court in Westerville.

Gentile is due back in court Friday, June 15.
