A Waverly man is $2 million richer after hitting almost all the numbers in a recent Powerball drawing.

Bruce Ballard won $2 million in the March 31 drawing.  After state and federal taxes, he will receive $1.44 million of that.

Ballard was one number shy of winning the entire jackpot. Players can win $2 million by matching five numbers without the Powerball with a Power Play ticket.

Ballard purchased his winning ticket at Ozzy’s Drive Thru, 318 W. Emmitt Ave., in Waverly.
