Three victims found dead after an apparent stabbing spree in northeast Columbus will be laid to rest on Monday.
Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS) announced funeral services for Azeb Demewez, Russom Habte, and Selam Habte will be held on Monday. The agency also released photos of the victims for the first time since stabbing one week ago.
Columbus police were called out on a report of a stabbing on Walford Street on April 30. There, three victims were taken to a local hospital with stab wounds. Demewez and Selam Habte were pronounced dead. 51-year-old Alganesh Gebrezgabiher, was last listed in critical condition according to police.
Upon further investigation, police discovered a fourth stabbing victim, Russom Habte, at a residence on Fitzroy Drive.
Officers shot and killed the suspect, Abadi Gedregziber, outside the Walford Street residence.
