COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Ohio State Buckeyes head football coach Urban Meyer visited a Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputy in the hospital as the deputy recovers from a gunshot wound.
The sheriff’s office posted a photo of Meyer with Deputy Jacob Heaberlin, who was injured Saturday night in a shootout with a suspect. Meyer came to the hospital Wednesday to visit him and brought several get-well presents.
The sheriff’s office said Heaberlin “appreciated the OSU bling that Coach brought him, along with this autographed Sheriff’s Office License Plate!”
Heaberlin is a seven-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office.
