Urban Meyer says he’s playing more golf than he used to, and that makes perfect sense.

For the first time since arriving in Columbus, Meyer is not preparing to coach the Buckeyes in a football season.

Meyer teed it up Wednesday in the Nationwide Pro-Am ahead of the Memorial Tournament. He was paired with PGA pro Keegan Bradley.

Meyer, who is a member at Muirfield Village, says he’s been able to play a bit more than usual now that he’s retired from coaching.

Meyer continues to work as an associate athletic director at Ohio State and will serve as a college football analyst for FOX this fall.
