Upper Arlington police investigate homicide on Lane Ave.

UPPER ARLINGTON, OH (WCMH) — Police in Upper Arlington are investigating a homicide that happened Monday afternoon.

Police responded Monday to a shopping center on the 1600 block of West Lane Avenue on a report of an altercation between two men.

When police arrived, they found the victim, a 31-year-old Columbus man, bleeding and unresponsive.

The victim was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital where he died.

Police named a suspect, 51-year-old Jeffery Larmar Smith. He is described as a black male standing 5’9″ and weighing 180 pounds.
