Two people killed in Licking County crash

LICKING COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a crash on Hebron Road that left two people dead.  

According to the OSHP, at about 8:30pm, Wednesday, a 2013 Ford Explorer, driven by Ryan M. Oppenheimer, 37, of Columbus, was northbound on Hebron Road near Ridgley Tract Road, when the vehicle went left of center and struck head on a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Cindy L. Perry, 59, of Buckeye Lake.  

Perry and her passenger, John Rodela Jr., 47, of Hebron, were both pronounced dead at the scene.  

Oppenheimer and his juvenile passenger were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time. 

Troopers say the crash remains under investigation, but drugs are suspected.  

All occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
