Two people injured in north Columbus house fire

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Two people were injured in a fire at a north Columbus home Wednesday evening.

It happened around 9:20pm at a home on the 1700 block of Alpine Drive.

According to Batallion Chief Steve Martin, two people were rescued from the home. One was taken to Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. The other was treated at the scene for minor smoke exposure.

Martin said the fire has been contained. Investigators have been sent to determine the cause of the fire.
