Two people hospitalized after fire in New Lexington

NEW LEXINGTON, OH (WCMH) — For the second time this week a fire in New Lexington has left multiple people in serious condition.

According to the New Lexington Fire Department, at about 2:43am, Wednesday, crews were called to the 100 block of E. Broadway on the reports of a fire in a two-story house. 

When firefighters arrived on scene they found two adult victims outside the home who had been pulled from the fire by a third person who had been inside the house. 

The two victims were later taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for treatment. The third person in the home was uninjured. 

The fire is being investigated by the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office, and there was no information on what may have started the fire.
