Two injured in Franklinton shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Two people are in stable condition after a shooting in Franklinton Wednesday night.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 11:09 p.m., Wednesday, officers were called to the 1300 block of W. State Street on the report of a shooting.  

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 15-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his left ankle, and a 39-year-old make suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the right side of his body.  

The teen told officers he got into a fight with someone he knew, when someone not involved in the fight, pulled a handgun and fired several shots at him and the other victim.  

Police say both victims are expected to survive their injuries.
