Two charged after Whitehall police raids in Columbus

WHITEHALL, OH (WCMH) – Police in Whitehall arrested two people Monday after serving warrants related to heroin and cocaine trafficking.

The warrants were executed at four locations in Columbus:

  • 4709 Legare Lane, Columbus
  • 1667 Minnesota Ave, Columbus
  • 1703 Blake Ave, Columbus
  • 6796 Albany Glen, New Albany

Police said they seized 44 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of heroin, four guns and more than $64,000 in cash. One of the guns was confirmed to be stolen, according to police.

Officers arrested 29-year-old Samuel Smith and 30-year-old Antwain Reedus and charged them with possession of drugs.

“This was an elaborate criminal operation broken up by our Narcotics Unit. These individual were flooding Whitehall and Columbus with heroin and cocaine. We remain committed to stopping criminals from bringing drugs into Whitehall,” said Whitehall Police Deputy Chief Daniel Kelso.
