Tiger Woods 5 shots off lead at Memorial Tournament

Local News

Tiger Woods spent the back half of his opening round at the Memorial racing the clock.

Woods and his playing partners, Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Rose, were placed on a timing clock by the PGA Tour for slow play.

Woods says it affected the group’s pacing, but he managed to power through and finish with a 2 under par 70 in his first round.

Woods is 5 shots off the lead owned by Ryan Moore.

Woods is seeking his 6th Memorial Tournament win.
