Tiger Woods spent the back half of his opening round at the Memorial racing the clock.
Woods and his playing partners, Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Rose, were placed on a timing clock by the PGA Tour for slow play.
Woods says it affected the group’s pacing, but he managed to power through and finish with a 2 under par 70 in his first round.
Woods is 5 shots off the lead owned by Ryan Moore.
Woods is seeking his 6th Memorial Tournament win.
