A three car accident in Union County on Wednesday resulted in two fatalities.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers from the Marysville Post are investigating a fatal three vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:25pm on Wednesday, October 3.

The crash occurred on State Route 31, two miles north of milepost 20 in Washington Township.

According to OSHP, a tan Nissan Altima driven by Conner Miller, 20, of Mount Victory was traveling south of State Route 31. A gray Ford 150, operated by Melissa Hougendobler, 44, of Kenton and a gray Jeep Compass, driven by Michael Musser, 59, of Lima, were traveling north on State Route 31.

Police say the Nissan went left of center and sideswiped the Ford. It then continued south in the northbound lane, striking the Jeep head-on.

Police reports indicate that Conner Miller, 20, of Mount Victory and Michael Musser, 59, of Lima were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Melissa Hougendobler was transported to Hardin County Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The initial investigation shows that Miller and Musser were not wearing seatbelts.

According to OSHP, this accident remains under investigation.
