Three teens injured in west Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) -- Police are searching for the suspect accused of shooting three teenagers in west Columbus.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 10:18pm, Tuesday, officers were called to the 600 block of Wrexham Avenue on the report of multiple people shot. 

Police say two 15-year-old males, and a 16-year-old male were walking in the area of Nashoba and Safford avenues when another teen male walked up to them and began firing a handgun multiple times.

The 16-year-old victim was struck in the right arm and was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

One 15-year-old victim was grazed in the right shoulder, and the other 15-year-old victim was grazed by a bullet across his chest. 

Police continue to search for the suspect, but he has been identified as a 16-year-old male.

The suspect does have a warrant for his arrest on three counts of felonious assault, and police ask anyone with information on this shooting to call the CPD Assault Unit at 614-645-4141 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
