Threat causes Teays Valley Local Schools to go on precautionary lockdown

PICKAWAY COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — Teays Valley schools are on a precautionary lockdown after a threat was received. 

According to a Teays Valley Local School District spokesperson, a threat was made towards the high school, Monday, causing Pickaway County Deputies to investigate. 

As a precaution, all Teays Valley schools were placed on lockdown.

Students are safe and the district is communicating with parents.

Deputies have been placed at each school while school officials and law enforcement investigate the threat.
