Thousands to move into OSU residence halls Saturday

Local News

There are more than 7,000 students who are ready to move in their residence hall on Saturday.

One of them is Sarash Egan from Massachusetts.

“I’m excited I’ve heard good things about this dorm,” said Egan.

Sarah is excited to move in and she has a good reason.

“They just keep telling us there’s so many people ready to help you.”

Those people are the Ohio State Welcome Leaders, who are also known as OWLS.

They greet the families once they pull up to the dorms and unload your car and take all of your items up to your room.

Sarah’s mom, Matine, believes their issue may happen before reaching the dorm.

“We’re taking an Uber from the hotel so we’re hoping that we can get an Uber from the hotel,” said Matine

With OSU controlling traffic on campus, she may be right.

Families are placed into a traffic pattern soon after they leave the Schottenstein Center getting them exactly where they need to go.
