LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (WCMH) — An 18-year-old man was killed Tuesday in a crash in Licking County.

According to the Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Mark May was driving a 2005 Infiniti G35 southeast on Concord Road, approaching Northridge Road around 4:57pm Tuesday.

Investigators said May failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the passenger side of a 2011 Ford Flex driven by a 73-year-old Johnstown man. After the crash, both vehicles went off the northeast corner of the intersection.

May’s passenger, 18-year-old Ronald Waters of Alexandria, was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

May was taken to Grant Medical Center.

The driver and passenger of the Ford Flex were taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital.

The occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says it urges all motorists to avoid distractions and pay close attention while driving. The crash remains under investigation
