Suspect arrested after stabbing near Otterbein University

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – The Westerville division of police have arrested the suspect in a stabbing that to place near Otterbein University Sunday night.

24-year-old Niles Chandler Anderson was arrested for stabbing his child’s mother 21-year-old Shyanne Alize Allen in the thigh with a fixed-blade knife.

On Sunday at 9:45pm Otterbein and Westerville police responded to a stabbing at the corner of West and Main St.

In a statement sent to their students, Otterbein said “The victim was transported to the hospital.  The victim is not an Otterbein student.  

The Westerville Police are investigating.” Otterbein police have also stated there are no suspects at this time.

Anderson is being charged with felonious assault, domestic violence and aggravated robbery.
